Winter, 2019

Days away from the Winter Solstice and I am filled with both gratitude for the wonderful events of these past months and happy anticipation of musical happenings in the months ahead.   In addition to a summer and autumn filled with festivals (Falcon Ridge, Huntington Folk Festival, NERFA) I was honored to have taken part in a very special project at Caffe Lena this past July called True Songs- Lyrics of Life.  This video documents the very special collaboration between 5 songwriters (I was one!) and representatives from 5 community organizations to tell their stories of hope and strength in both song and spoken word.

Winter is shaping up for good times with some enjoyable shows in the works.  I continue to have a blast making music with my fun loving, harmony driven trio "Us!" (with Glen Roethel and Amy Soucy). Their co-written song, "No More Crying, was selected for a Gold award winner in the Open Category of the 36th Mid - Atlantic Song Contest.  If you're in the Westchester area on January 18th, do come check us out at Common Ground Coffee House in Hastigs when we kick off an evening of music featuring the talented KJ Denhert.   Work on the next recording projects continue (new solo album and Us! album in the making!). Check out my shows calendar for more upcoming shows.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!  May our moments be filled with warmth, love, wellness and lots of wonderful music!

Love,

Judy
