January, 2021

I’m not one to wish time away, in fact, I’ve written a number of songs about being in the moment but I have to admit that I was not sorry say goodbye to 2020 and all it brought, silver linings and all.  Few words can express the myriad of emotions experienced of late as we have experienced the ravaging impact of COVID 19, history making elections and the assault on our democratic process by many of those charged with protecting it.  This past week's attack on the Capitol underscored the pathology of our nation's current state.  We have much healing to do. Yet, there are still those willing to stand up for truth, and humanity is still evident in the actions of many.  This gives me hope and fills me with determination to continue to contribute however I can to peaceful rebuilding.
.
Speaking of things I am looking forward to, I’m excited to be heading up to Saratoga NY to play a solo live streamed show at Caffe Lena on February 5th at 8;00 pm.  I hope you’ll join me (virtually, of course!).  You can find more info and links to the show on their website at Caffelena.org and mine at judykass.com in the next few weeks.  I’m so grateful for those DJ’s presenters and artists who have worked so hard to keep the music flowing and can’t wait till we can safely make some joyful noise together.  That time is coming.  I’m sure of it.
So,  here’s to days becoming lighter, and to a New Year that’s kinder, healthier, saner and filled with opportunity and wonderment.   Bring it on!
