Summertime!

After a whirlwind Spring filled with much personal and musical activity,  Summer rolled in with the promise of several exciting events.  With the backdrop of such tragic events in the world, the healing power of music has taken on even greater meaning and importance.  Like many, I find myself driven to actualize the words of  Leonard Bernstein as he called on us to respond to violence by making " music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before".    For me, it's  a labor of love.

On July 12th, I joined the dynamo trio Cole, Nakoa and Treacher  for a double bill of great music  played to a packed house on the wonderful series WFUV's  On Your Radar at Rockwood Music Hall hosted by John Platt.   Festival season quickly follows with showcases scheduled  at Huntington and  Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals.    I continue to enjoy sharing my new album Beyond the Ash and Steel and am so grateful for the wonderful response it has received both on the airwaves and in live performance.  Be sure to visit my "Shows" page for details of upcoming events.  And as always,  I'm deeply thankful for the opportunity to make and share my music and to enjoy the amazing music that is out there for the listening.
